SCOUTS BSA Troop 222

Huntersville, NC

  The mission of the Boy Scouts of America, now Scouts BSA, is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Scouting will prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.

 

  Troop 222 consists of both a Boys Troop (BT222) and a Girls Troop (GT222).  Most leaders are in both Troops and we participate in most activities together, as separate units.  Right now, we enjoy the socialization and skills, boys and girls learn from communicating and working together while still maintaining some independence. 

 

  We promote an outdoor program which includes both regular camping and future high adventure opportunities.

Our Troop also believes in having as much FUN as possible while achieving our scout goals.  Our girls Troop launched April 1st, 2023.  Our scouts and leaders strive to provide the kind of experience originally envisioned by Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Boy Scout program.  We provide a year-round, scout-led, and adult-mentored, adventure-based program.  We spend more time outdoors than inside, meet weekly and camp regularly.  222 delivers opportunities to build leadership, character, citizenship and fitness for youth 11-17 years old.

Our meetings are held every Wednesday from 6:45 - 8:00 pm at

Huntersville United Methodist Church, 14005 Stumptown Road

in Huntersville, NC. We are a really wecloming unit. You are invited to stop by and see what
